International Interdisciplinary Conference – Advances in Comparative Culturology

I am delighted to invite you to the  International Interdisciplinary Conference – Advances in Comparative Culturology , organized by the Department of Sociology and Social Policy at Lingnan University. The event will take place on 15–16 May 2025 on our campus in Hong Kong.

This two-day conference brings together distinguished international and local scholars (check out the website below) to discuss key questions in cultural research, including:

• How should we conceptualize and measure culture?
• What drives cultural change—and what patterns does it follow?
• How is culture as an ecological construct linked to individual psychology?
• What role does culture play in broader social transformations?

The program features interdisciplinary panels from sociology, psychology, anthropology, business, and public policy, aiming to foster rich academic dialogue.
