Costa Rica Conference Travel Support Application

IACCP offers travel assistance to IACCP members (current, renewing, and new) to facilitate their attendance of the 5th Latin American Regional Conference. Travel awards are meant to, in particular, support members from those Latin American countries that would otherwise not be represented at the conference.

The application procedure is now open. You can submit your application on this page. The deadline for submissions is April 30, 2019.You must be a member of IACCP for 2019 and 2020 by the time you submit your application. To pay dues as an existing or recent member: Please go to https://iaccp.z2systems.com/np/clients/iaccp/login.jsp, enter your username and password and select "join/Pay Dues/Membership History" in the dropdown menu.To join IACCP, please see the information at www.iaccp.org/node/72. 

Your application must encompass a realistic budget of your assumed expenses for participating in the 5th Latin American Regional Conference of IACCP.

If the total sum requested in the applications will exceed our budget, a selection will be made by a selection committee. The selection committee comprises Fons van de Vijver (Past-President), Mariano Rosabal (conference organizer), Brigitte Armon (Treasurer), and Colleen Ward (President-Elect) as its Chair.

Decisions will be influenced strongly by the “relative level of need” (IACCP Constitution Article 2.7.2.4) of each applicant. Applications from North America and other continents are possible, but will receive funding only when funds remain after all satisfactory applications from Latin America have been granted.

Travel assistance is offered as a refund against receipts and original proof of payment.

If you are a new member and have not been able to submit your payment before you apply for a refund, your membership dues for 2019 and 2020 will be deducted from the refund you are to receive. The selection committee informs successful applicants shortly after the application deadline about the maximum travel assistance they are offered.

Include the title and co-authors (if any). If you are submitting a symposium, include the symposium title and abstract as well. If you are submitting a paper in a symposium, include the symposium convener and titles in addition to your abstract.
Please provide the abstract reference numbers for each abstract submitted on the conference website, if you know them.
If you have previously applied for any type of travel grant from IACCP, please provide the year, conference location, and outcome of your application.
