The Association holds two kinds of conferences:
International Congresses (every
two years) serve as major meeting places for the exchange of
ideas among researchers and students from all over the world.
The first Congress was held in Hong Kong (1972), the most recent
on the Isle of Spetses, Greece (2006) and in Bremen, Germany (2008).
Regional conferences serve to bring people together within regions,
or from outside who share an interest in a region. The first regional
conference was held in Ibadan, Nigeria (1973) and more recently in
Mexico City, Mexico in July, 2007. The next regional conference will be held in Cameroon in August, 2008.
Sponsored conferences are those in which IACCP plays an official role but does not directly organize. The next sponsred conference will be in Warsaw, Poland, in September 2009: International Conference on Becoming a European: Cultural adaptation and culture learning of Erasmus Program exchange students.
In addition to these two kinds of conferences, IACCP participates formally
in the conferences of other organizations, such as the European Congress of
Psychology. International Union of Psychology

document. It contains requirements and guidelines for hosting a conference
and a form on which the proposal should be made. Conference proposals
are submitted to the Secretary/General.
Typically, the Executive Committee places a call for the conference
